During the second Academy Master Training in Banda Aceh, October 1-6, 2019, participants learned about adult learning and active learning methodologies to train smallholders and group organisers/managers more effectively, for higher retention of knowledge and more engagement from the learner.
They learned how to apply those methods as part of using the new Academy Smallholder Training Guide and Group Training Guide. And participants also were challenged to think about their smallholder programmes and their objectives.
Pak Junaidi from West Kalimantan, together with several other participants, shared the progressing insights they got during the Master Training and how it made them think about their own work and approach. Importantly, his message reflected his dedication to self-improvement and continuous learning - both central pillars of the Academy approach.
