During the second Academy Master Training in Banda Aceh, 1-6 October 2019, Harris Silalahi from De Guru Consulting in Indonesia, reflected on his growing insights during the 6-day Master Training. Pak Harris is a smallholder trainer and auditor with experience of over 15 years.
During the Master Training, participants first learned to use the training methods and materials of the Smallholder Training Guide and the Group Training Guide, which involves active learning and adult learning methodology. In the later part of the training, the Programme Design Guide is introduced through interactive group work in which participants are challenged to think about their smallholder programme design and its objectives.
